Mark co-founded Cultivate in 2005 and serves as the agency’s president. With a background in photography, marketing, and technology, he is often found on video and photo shoots and in the trenches with the web and apps teams. He’s proud to have a team with a knack for building strong brands—and bringing those brand stories to life to help clients overcome challenges and move the needle.

Max has extensive experience in software design and development, and leading development teams. A member of our team since 2011, he’s well versed in a number of scripting languages, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, React.js, React Native, MySQL, and PHP. Max works on iOS, Android, and web apps and has taught computer science courses.

Mel has served as Cultivate’s commercial photographer since 2016. She’s since expanded her role to include videographer and producer here at the agency. Capable of navigating large-scale, on-location photo shoots, smaller studio shoots with models, headshots, table-top product shoots, documentary photography, and more, she is also our post-production master. Outside of Cultivate, Mel is a skilled fashion photographer.

Rick joined the Cultivate team in 2015 and has filled many roles, including managing Cultivate’s studio operations. Today, as a creative producer, he leverages his expertise in animation and motion graphics to facilitate the creative development, storyboarding, and directing and editing processes at the agency. Rick has a background in design, acting, and production and outside of Cultivate, he’s been the tech director and master carpenter for the Trinity Christian College Theatre program since 2014.

Kachi joined Cultivate in 2021 bringing with him a decade’s worth of experience in photography, video, and audio production. He excels in blurring the lines between photography and video, with each informing the other. Kachi possesses the unique strength of taking complex creative problems and translating them into workable action points. In his free time, you can find Kachi garnering inspiration from movies and time spent in museums.
