Branding in 2021

While we are all anxious to put 2020 in the rear view mirror, this year is not without its lessons. We’ve seen more importance placed on quality family time, felt endless gratitude for our healthcare and essential workers, and learned just how important true human connection is, especially when we’re physically apart. And while businesses have faced enormous challenges, they’ve also strengthened customer relationships when letting empathy lead the way while addressing their clients’ needs.

So, how should we approach branding as we look forward to 2021?

Be honest. Be authentic. And be human. We are all facing a major disruption to our lifestyles while we try to keep ourselves and our loved ones healthy and there’s unity to be found in this shared human experience. Rather than the expected “we’re here for you”-type message, which is sure to get lost in a sea of sameness, now continues to be the time to offer the support and help people need to restore primary needs like safety and security. At the same time, show the real people behind the brand. Allow the brand to make personal connections. Determine what the brand cares about, and share how that has an impact on a customer.

We’re all about helping our clients take a stand so that they can truly matter, so we’ll work with you to develop messaging (and potential outreach tactics) that feel true to your brand and help you serve the community at large while strengthening the ties with your clients and customers. We’re here and we’re ready.
