Cultivate worked with a major electric utility company to create a mobile app that provides their workforce and contractors with essential job safety information.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, delivering power to homes and businesses became more important than ever. This national utility company traditionally distributed books to their employees and contractors that outlined the safety protocols and procedures necessary to perform their work in the field, and used an Excel document to define which personal protection equipment was required for any given type of work task performed.

Keeping the paper-based book updated and distributed was difficult and costly to manage, and there were health concerns around sharing physical paperwork. We created a mobile app that provides these utility company workers and contractors with essential job safety information via a single, unified tool. The content is now organized and easily searchable, and users can bookmark content for quick reference. Simplifying and streamlining access to important information keeps the crew informed and safe throughout the pandemic.
