M+J is a full-service commercial paving and concrete contractor serving Chicagoland for nearly 40 years. Their crews handle everything from emergency utility work to major paving and snow operations—often mobilizing dozens of teams to hundreds of job sites in a single day. Known for doing it right, doing it themselves, and doing it consistently, M+J’s reputation is built on reliability and speed.
The Challenge
As M+J grew, so did the complexity of its operations. Dispatching crews, managing permits, tracking trucks and materials, capturing job data, and billing clients involved disconnected spreadsheets, paper logs, and endless calls. They needed a system that could bring it all together—empowering their office staff, field crews, and leadership to work as one.
The vision: an integrated digital platform to run their entire operation, from proposals to job completion, built to reflect how M+J truly works.

Built with React, Ruby on Rails, and React Native for cross-platform functionality, the app is designed for speed, reliability, and ease of use—whether in the office or out in the field.

Today, M+J runs its entire operation through the platform. Dispatchers coordinate crews. Foremen submit job reports from the field. Leadership gains real-time visibility into every job, crew, and cost.
