Even the strongest among us need rest—especially in moments of vulnerability. At Roseland Christian Ministries, women who have faced life’s toughest challenges find not just shelter, but a place of peace, renewal, and support as they take steps to rebuild their lives.
Now, through the Rest for the Strong campaign, Roseland Christian Ministries is launching a capital campaign to renovate their Women & Children’s Shelter—creating a safe, secure space where resilience can be restored and hope can take root.
At Cultivate, we worked alongside Roseland Christian Ministries to craft the campaign’s messaging, design compelling visuals, and produce a powerful video that captures the reality of being unhoused in Chicago. This one-take film, shot overnight beneath a Dan Ryan Expressway viaduct, tells the story of a mother and child navigating the city without a home—bringing to light the urgency of this cause.
But this campaign isn’t about weakness. It’s about providing a moment to pause, breathe, and find rest for the mind, body, and soul—so that women and children can rise stronger, more resilient, and ready to face the future.
These images, paired with snippets of the film’s voiceover, have been transformed into social media posts designed to spark empathy, engagement, and action. Every design element, from the campaign logo to the typography and color palette, was carefully chosen to reinforce the campaign’s message: even the strongest among us deserve a place to rest. Through a cohesive, multi-channel approach, the campaign invites the community to witness, reflect, and ultimately take part in making this vision a reality.
Join Roseland Christian Ministries in this mission. Together, we can help turn exhaustion into renewal, uncertainty into stability, and struggle into strength—one step, one shelter, and one moment of rest at a time.
